Ottawa J4J Multisector Pension Plan – launching April 1st

Starting on April 1st, employers shall enroll all eligible Justice for Janitors employees into the Multisector Pension Plan which was won in bargaining in 2019.

Each eligible employee shall contribute for each pay period an amount equal to 1% of applicable wages to the Plan. The Employer will match your 1% contribution on your behalf to the plan.

Bargaining Survey

Heading into bargaining, it is important for the Union to understand worker priorities and motivations for the next Collective Bargaining Agreement.

J4J Council Elections

J4J Council and Presidential elections will take place during our next General Membership Meeting on Saturday, February 26th at 10am. Nominees will be given a chance to present themselves to the membership before voting takes place.

The J4J Council will be consulted in preparations for bargaining, take part in negotiations and guide the local over the term of the collective agreement.

Members on the Zoom meeting will elect a Council with a representative employed by each company signed onto the Ottawa Citywide CBA. A council President will also be elected with the role of leading the council.
